How far in advance do I have to make reservations?

The sooner the better.  We are currently reserving dates 1 year in advance.  It is recommended you make your reservations at least 3 months in advance.  If you need it sooner than that please call for times and dates available.  We have made a commitment to give every client the same personalized attention as next.  So we have limited the number of hunters.  We will never mix groups and each group gets private use of the lodge and hunting acres assuring everyone gets ample amounts of shooting opportunities.

I have my own plane, Is Wichita the closest airport to fly into?

No.  Wichita is the closest controlled airport.  Strother Field is actually the closest non-commercial/non-controlled air field.  It is about 6 miles from Winfield and 15 miles from Dexter.  It features a full service FBO and offers self fueling, jet fuel, hanger and tie down service.  General Electric Engine Service Flight line is the engine maintenance facility.  Strother Field also offers lighted runways for night flying.   See: History Of Strother Field  For pilots operating rotary aircraft, Rotary Aircraft will not be allowed at the lodge.  This is to preserve the wildlife.  You will need to fly into the Strother Air Field.  The airport code for Strother Field is KWLD.
